Help! I Can't Sign Up — Troubleshooting Tips for Participants

Common Reasons Participants Can't Sign Up and How to Fix Them

Last Updated June 17, 2026

Most sign-up issues come down to one of four things: a missing invitation link, a link that did not copy correctly, a browser or device conflict, or a spot that is simply full. Here is how to work through each one.

You Cannot Find the SignUp

SignUp does not have a public search directory — this is intentional, to protect the privacy of activities that often involve children or private groups. To access a SignUp, you need an invitation link from the organizer. Check your email, or look for the link on the group's website or social media page.

You Lost Your Invitation Link

Go to signup.com/find-my-signup, enter your email address, and a new access link will be sent to you.

The Link Does Not Work

Valid SignUp links have 7 case-sensitive characters after /go/. Make sure the entire link was copied — sometimes the end gets cut off when sharing. Ask your organizer to resend the original invitation if you are unsure.

You Get an Error When Trying to Sign Up

Try these steps in order:

  • Switch to a different device (phone, tablet, or computer).
  • Try a different browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all work well with SignUp.
  • On a smartphone, try toggling between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Still Stuck?

Contact your organizer directly. They can manually assign you to a spot even if the online flow is not working for you.
