How to Get a QR Code for Your SignUp or Group Page

Post It Anywhere and Let People Scan to Sign Up Instantly

Last Updated June 17, 2026

Yes — SignUp automatically generates a QR code for every new SignUp and emails it to you. Print it, post it, and let people scan and sign up on the spot. You can also request a new one anytime, or generate a QR code for a Group Page.

Getting a QR Code for an Individual SignUp

When you create a new SignUp, your QR code arrives automatically in an email titled "Invitation Preview and Shareable Link." If you cannot find that email, here is how to get a new one:

  1. Log in and open your SignUp from the Dashboard.
  2. Go to the Invite tab and select Send an email through SignUp.
  3. Leave the To field empty and click Send Draft Invitation.
  4. Check your inbox — a fresh QR code will arrive from mail@signup.com.

Getting a QR Code for a Group Page

  1. Find your Group Page's shareable invitation URL. Log out, then paste it into your browser's address bar.
  2. Copy the full expanded URL from the address bar. SignUp automatically converts short URLs (like signup.com/go/___) to the full version once the page loads.
  3. Add /qr_code to the end of the URL and press Enter.
  4. Download your QR code and drop it into signs, flyers, or presentations.

Where to Use It

QR codes work great in places where sharing a link is not practical. Post yours in the classroom, gym, break room, church bulletin, event program, or front door. Participants scan with their phone and sign up on the spot — no typing required.
